Ways to Give
“Give and it will be given to you; A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
– Luke 6:38

Giving is not limited to simply our finances; it’s a lifestyle.
When we live with the spirit of giving —
when we recognize what we have as God’s gift to us and, with gratitude, practice our own giving,
when we give to those in need,
when we give of our time, our love, our resources —
we are sowing seeds that God will blossom into a rich harvest for the feeding and care of the world.
Other Ways to Give
Endowment
Salisbury Congregational Church is blessed with a generous endowment, a percentage of which is allotted to church work annually.
Planned Giving
Identifying the church as a recipient of gifts in your will helps to sustain the long term viability of the church. Such gifts are placed directly into the Endowment Fund, unless otherwise specified.
Light of Service
Each Sunday, gifts offered without a specific designation (the “loose offering”) are forwarded to an organization close to the heart of someone in our church.
Fall Festival
The Salisbury Fall Festival, held on the second weekend of October, is a time for us to come together as a community and raise funds for local charities. All the monies raised go to support local non-profit groups.
Pledges
The operating budget is mainly supported by the generosity of those who participate in the life of the church. An annual campaign is overseen by the Board of Trustees. Everyone who participates in the life of the church is asked to contribute as they are able. Offering envelopes are provided to those who request them. The Treasurer keeps track of all donations and provides a mid-year update and a year-end statement for tax purposes.
Memorial Gifts
Gifts to the church may be made in memory of loved ones at any time.
Special Relief Offering
Sometimes a special need in the congregation or in the community arises and a group of members will organize an event to raise funds to contribute. In the event of catastrophic events around the world, the church receives donations to aid in relief work and passes that money onto our Church World Service Network. 100% of these special donations go directly to the communities in need. Checks for these special gifts should be made out to Congregational Church of Salisbury with the specific emergency noted in the memo.

The Salisbury Housing Committee creates affordable rental housing; the Salisbury Housing Trust develops affordable housing for ownership. These two groups of volunteers lead our community in advocating on behalf of neighbors who would otherwise be unable to reside in Salisbury because of our skewed housing prices.
