A local family had a terrible car crash last year where a young family member was killed. The family is barely recovering after eight months. Prayers for moving through the grief in a healthy way.

More of a thank you, God. My friend, Monika, a champion for African women, who has inspired me to raise $7500, was in an awful car accident hast week that included being hit by two racing cars on a mountain, rolling over and cars rolling over her car. She and her daughter were unhurt. Unbelievable. Angel air bags, she called it. Totally a God thing.

My first cousin, Gail, bent down to her horse as he was lifting his head and she cracked her skull. She has a brain injury and while she functions, she is not the same person. She is angry, sharp-tongued and almost unapproachable, at least for me. I pray for a way to connect with her.

These two groups of volunteers lead our community in advocating on behalf of neighbors who would otherwise be unable to reside in Salisbury because of our skewed housing prices.
